The Kentwood is designed to offer a fresh new appeal to a design period that has been one of the most popular in the furniture industry for generations. Its 18th century designs were inspired by Chipendale, Hepplewhite, Sheraton and other Masters. These classic elements are evident throughout the 518 while the finish and piece function make it more casual and more livable for Today’s consumers. The light brown mahogany finish has a faded or aged look that gives the 518 a realistic aged look that will appeal a wide range of consumers. The younger consumers will like its distressing and casual look, while the more mature consumer will appreciate the classic historical references and the “sun faded” mahogany finish.
Some of the key design features in the Kentwood are truly “right out of the design books”: the “sand burned-ined fan tail inlay pattern utilized on the corners and case tops and the oval veneer patterns. The liberal use of the primavera veneer on the borders and the case shapes are also key elements that are taken from 18th century designs.
